Domain Names
You will need a domain name for;
Domain Names cost very little, and so I would suggest that you look for other derivatives of your name and buy them even if you aren't going to use them straight away.
The different extensions are obvious places to start for example mycompany.com and mycompany.co.uk, but consider something that describes your company such as paintsheffield.com and then grab it before someone else does.
This will also help when it comes to people finding your site using Google etc.

Type in the domain name that you would prefer and select an extension from the dropdown box.
Use .co.uk or .com or .biz or .info or .org or .net.
Broadband.
Some companies make the process of purchasing and managing the various parts we need for the internet difficult, and so I have tried to simplify it, by bringing all of the information together on one page.
Getting Broadband setup.
If you haven't already got broadband then you will need a normal phoneline, ideally near to the computer. If you want a wireless setup, then it's OK for the line to be in another room, but beware of thick walls.
If you have a small office or are wanting to setup the internet at your home, with light requirements for email and browsing for only a handful of people, then select from one of these three options by clicking on the Zen advert on the right.

If you browse the internet for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, then this will use about 4Gb per month. If you were also listening to the Online radio and playing On-line games at the same time, then this will total about 60GB per month.
Films are approximately 2Gb each, and music tracks 4Mb each.
If you overrun your Monthly Download Allowance, then a small charge will be made for the extra used.
